Day trip to Kawaguchiko (2013)

This was from November 2013 – my dad, mom, and grandmother were visiting us in Tokyo over US Thanksgiving time. My aunt and uncle (who have always been living in Nagoya) came up to Tokyo, and we all took a day trip by bus to the Mount Fuji area to see the leaves changing colors.

It’s a popular thing to do in Japan, but I was extremely skeptical. I’d seen plenty of leaf changing having lived in the Northeastern US for a chunk of my life. But in the end it was so, so nice.
