All three times I've been in Oslo it was always for a half day (one night) layover. I've always loved the city, but its a shame I never really explored it. This was my most recent visit, arriving in the afternoon and flying out first thing in the morning.
So we were married in the continental US in 2012. Unfortunately, we were still living apart at the time (My wife in New York, me in Tokyo). Also, we had just burned through a lot of our savings and vacation days on the wedding. It would have been a bit sad to split and back to Tokyo/NY right after the wedding, so we sneaked in a quick 4.5 day trip to Hawaii.
This was a brief stop at the end of one of our days in Bhutan, right before heading back to the hotel for the evening. Bhutan is so incredibly photogenic everywhere, just simply an amazing place to visit.
I spent a night and a day in Amman, ahead of driving down to Petra and Wadi Rum. I didn't really have much planned or considered for Amman, but I tried to make the most of my short time there.
Well, the weather got better! Which was a good thing, because what was supposed to be five days in Dubrovnik became only two.
My first time to Dubrovnik was a couple years before Game of Thrones made it even more popular than it already was. I visited again many years later, and it was interesting to see how things had changed.
